Sellers Note
Dorchester County EMS has taken delivery of their newly completed ambulance remount from Emergency Transportation Associates (ETA), built on a RAM 4500 Crew Cab gas chassis and designed to provide years of continued frontline service.
Remounting allows agencies to maximize the value of their existing ambulance module while pairing it with a new chassis and updated components. The result is a refreshed, reliable unit that delivers the functionality and appearance of a new ambulance while significantly reducing replacement costs.
For this project, the patient compartment underwent a comprehensive refurbishment focused on enhancing safety, durability, crew comfort, and overall appearance. Updates include new flooring, upgraded LED lighting, refreshed upholstery, and a completely new graphics package, giving the unit a clean, modern look both inside and out.
The patient compartment was also equipped with a mobility seat, providing increased flexibility for crew members while maintaining safety and accessibility during patient care. A child safety seat was incorporated to support the safe transport of pediatric patients when needed.
Throughout the remount process, ETA technicians completed extensive inspections and refurbishment work to ensure the module was ready to meet the demands of daily emergency response. By extending the life of the existing ambulance body and pairing it with a new RAM 4500 chassis, Dorchester County EMS gains a dependable unit prepared to serve its community for years to come.
This project reflects Dorchester County EMS's continued commitment to providing high-quality emergency medical services while making strategic investments in fleet sustainability and operational readiness.
